Inspired by the story Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty, this creative STEM lesson blends engineering, storytelling, and growth mindset in a fun, engaging way.

 

Children will learn what an engineer does, explore the steps of the design process, and be encouraged to embrace the power of “yet” when tackling challenges. Alongside designing and testing their own flying machine, learners will create a “yet” crown or motivational poster to remind themselves progress takes time. They'll also plan and write a short story using a story planner!
