Inspired by the beautiful book Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth by Oliver Jeffers, this cross‑curricular geography lesson invites children to explore our world whilst encouraging gentle reflection and emotional confidence.

 

In this lesson, children will discover the Earth and our solar system, explore the differences between human and physical features of the planet, and reflect on trying new things while learning how to manage worries and anxiety with the support of a worksheet. They'll also make their own constellation viewer to explore the night sky and take time to think about how we can care for the Earth.
